Default Mesmiter- Come See

This build involves both smiting and the mesmer primary. The bulk of damage is pure smiting, and the skills are as follows.

12 Smiting
4 Fast Cast
14 Inspiration

Smite
Signet of Judgment
Bane Signet
Balthazars Aura
Drain Enchantment
Res Sig
Mantra of Inscriptions
Ether Feast

Surprisingly this works well. With its "sniping" ability (except with Balths) it has the possibility of dealing strong aoe or single focus.
Crits are pretty much welcome.

been there done that. *coughsignetbuildcough* Little defenses at all - you die too easily. Nice against aggro warriors though.

wheres your... spell... not smite... the other one, the smiting spell that does extra damage to knockdown foes... its a must have.

Next^^!

I don't mean to be too cynical here, but even as a mesmer you're still one of the top public enemies in PvP. The only reason I might run a build like this as a mesmer primary would be so people wouldn't ragequit when they discovered I didn't heal/protect. Aside from that, though, I think the extra damage would probably be worth the extra aggro. Espically since it almost seems like a 50/50 split between the monk and mesmer as to who gets the attention a lot of the time.

Yup, mesmer causes more attention than monk. Not neccessarily targeting you before the monk, but definitely aware of your presence (unlike monk...sometimes in RA, I often win games when I don't even know enemy have a monk)
